Canvas - Embed Image
How to Embed or Insert your image in Canvas on the Discussion Board
Go to the Discussion Board in Canvas and open the discussion that you would like to reply to. Click the top reply.

Click the icon that looks like a little "sun and mountains" - Choose "Upload Image"

You can drag the image into the "rocket area" from your computer OR you can navigate to where you saved the image and open from there.

The image will load up into a page that looks like this. You can add "Alt Text." Someone that may be visually impaired might not "see" the image correctly but their reader will tell them what the image is about. Alt tags are also useful for SEO - Search Engine Optimization.
You don't have to add "alt text" but it is good practice if you will be making websites and/or doing Internet Marketing and Social Media.

If the image that you inserted in your post is super big, you can size it by clicking on it and using the sizing handles OR clicking on it, click on the "Image Options" button that pops up

When you click on the "Image Options" -- you can control the size by percentage or by pixel size. I like to use Pixel Size and will typically change it to 400 - 600 pixels wide.

Hope this helps you to insert/embed and control your images in Canvas!
